Lisa Lang is a Licensed Psychotherapist & Registered Art Therapist-Board Certified, in the State of Wisconsin. With 20 years experience in providing psychotherapy, Lisa is well versed in treating a wide range of therapy issues. Lisa provides therapeutic services to children, adolescents & young adults as well as parental coaching. She also specializes in depressive/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attachment disorders & ADHD, and the treatment of trauma/PTSD. As a Licensed Psychotherapist, Lisa has an existential & humanistic approach to treatment, but will often utilize a trauma-focused approach, when treating PTSD.
As an Art Therapist, Lisa can also brings an expertise in art therapy for those clients who prefer an approach other than traditional therapy. If a client is interested in Art Therapy during the Psychotherapy treatment, Lisa uses art media, the creative process, and the resulting artwork to explore the clients’ feelings during therapy. Art Therapy often allows clients to release pain & express emotions that had once been deeply hidden, in a manner that traditional therapy cannot. This is especially true for children, who have trouble verbalizing their feelings.
Lisa received her undergraduate degree from Alverno College & her graduate degree in Art Therapy from Mount Mary College.
