Lynn Fitzsimmons, Ph.D.

Dr. Lynn Fitzsimmons is a licensed clinical psychologist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. Her warm and empathic nature helps empower clients to move in a healthy, healing direction and to achieve goals toward making positive life choices. Dr. Fitzsimmons has been trained in a variety of therapy modalities including; cognitive-behavioral, behavior modification, supportive therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and play therapy.

Dr. Fitzsimmons works with clients with many areas of concern and has a special interest in the areas of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger management, ADHD, relationship issues, and emotional/behavioral concerns. She is committed to utilizing evidence-based techniques and applies a wide spectrum of theoretical approaches in therapy depending on the nature of the concern.

Dr. Fitzsimmons received her master’s degree in 1999 and her doctoral degree in 2009 in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Fitzsimmons also has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Elementary Education. Prior to her career in psychology, Dr. Fitzsimmons taught elementary school in the Mequon-Thiensville School District.

Dr. Fitzsimmons resides in Mequon, Wisconsin with her husband and two children. She loves running, hiking, biking, the outdoors, and spending quality time with her family.
